i wrote a li’l itty bitty ditty y-y-years ago … and still is my favorite to sing around the

firpit…about just that sort of thing, E. since wayyyyy back sooo far back that there ain’t

even an echo remains, whitey’s penchant to see things die in spectacular ways has taken

precedence over any level of innocence in some instances and any amount of graves…in

others. i truly believe the death penalty, the guillotine, the gas chamber, the gallows, is a

fix, like a drug, way deep down in the deepest theologian depths of the human animal.

but that’s not an original idea … and I’ve read compelling stories that feed both sides of

the issue.  texarkana sure seems to get a chubby from it, though. ………I don’t know.

(on second thought, given Africa/Asia/etc.have had their flare

share of atrocities, I withdraw “whitey” from the table.)
