"For years I’ve read dbis post after post of cultured wine snob-like film impressions, whilst I post my feelings about sappy flicks that satisfy my palate very well; only rarely recommending something on the leading edge of cultured filmgoing hubbub."That was pretty funny! I don't know if we got wine snobs or film snobs or anything like that here. I don't think any of them are "on the leading edge of cultured filmgoing hubbub." In fact I think there are some serious stinkers in that crazy group. I've never seen any of them, Mess, but I've heard of Andrzej Wajda and I know "Two Lovers" was the last film Joaquin Phoenix did before he stopped bathing and became a rap "artiste"...I would say skip the lot and watch something you enjoy or if you really want me to recommend something I'd go with "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" or if you really want to watch something amazing in a foreign language I'd say see any film by Andrei Tarkovsky...I do love his films and they are pretty mind blowing but some people think they are about as fun as watching paint dry...I think that's bullshit but fuck it that's why they make more than one flavor of just about everything these days right?
