What makes you think it doesn't bother the average American? I'm an average American and I get more and more concerned about the lack of any WOMD every day. The reason I remain quiet (and calm) is I believe they will evetually be found. I believe the mobile labs are a pretty good start. I didn't see a "ChemLawn" sign on the sides of the trucks so I don't believe it was built for anything domestic.
The average American is not a rabid hater of Bush or Powell or the GOP. THAT'S what's taking your breath away.
