Here is a tid bit from Obama on the necessity of math and science.

I know that if there is anything in education that is coming to the forefront it is math and science. I am totally surprised that Mass Academy is being red lined and can't help but think that perhaps where it was put in the budget was a mistake, probably wishful thinking. In Florida the amount paid for each student is hovering around $7000. One of the areas under attack of course is gifted funding. This coming Friday is going to be a day of reckoning. I did go to the site and try to sign up but, and this could be because I am doing this at work, when I click on sign up it just takes me back to the original website. So I just keep going in circles. What this country needs is more of these schools, not fewer.
