I just had the great pleasure of seeing Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and Butch Hancock in their Flatlanders incarnation. Wow, what a treat to see these truly legendary Texans in a tiny New Hampshire music hall. The evening was full of memorable songs, impeccable playing, a boatload of stories, and a whole lot of mutual love and respect. These guys are well into their AARP memberships, but they play like young turks with everything to prove. Go see 'em! http://www.myspace.com/theflatlanderstxPeter T.
