Missy Higgins
There was standing room only. Literally. No chairs, no tables, just a packed room with 100 plus people standing. I am wondering if the Culture Room is a left over of the mosh pit days. The stage seemed about the right height to fling oneself onto the masses. Missy was barefoot and fabulous. She had many fans there that were singing along with some of her songs and Missy seemed surprised and pleased. At one point she gave the audience a choice of which acoustic song to play as people kept shouting out requests and whatever her playlist was went out the window. There were quite a few Australians there. I'm figuring from the boating community here. The band was tight and were having a really great time. The guitar tech was constantly in motion prepping one guitar after another for Missy. I would highly recommend seeing her if she comes to your neighborhood. The recordings I have heard of her do not do her justice.
