Keep in mind that I think we should do a bunch of them (infrastructure). But if the operative issue is quick stimulus, keep the package focused on that, get it passed, and then turn to long term issues. I think Obama's suggestion to re-invest in local infrastructure is not a bad idea overall.
As for the "plain black wrapper" comment: I don't lay much of this at Obama's feet. By all accounts, its portions of the Congress that have loaded up stimulus with dubious special interests. Blame theme. Blame Pelosi most of all.
