Amen Gene. I remember hearing 'Are You Experienced?' for the first time in a friends basement at
about 7 AM one morning when I stopped to pick him up on our way to school. His older brothers
bought the best records: the first Paul Butterfield album, The Fugs, and of course Hendrix. Purple Haze and Manic Depression turned my eighth grade brain around. What a sound! Nothing like it
before or after.
