Pat, Why do you keep wasting your time on bullshit? Frankly, Obama should be spanked for even attributing any success to the "surge" because it has not worked for a variety of reasons. Sadly, the American people are too stupid to seek out sources to even find out the "surge" did not do what it was supposed to do. For example, the violence in Iraq was heading down before the "surge" took place. Next, we have been paying off people not to fight (imagine if LA or Chicago decided to pay gang members not to fight). On top of that, in Baghdad, the Shiite have "won". The Sunnis are gone. Check out the recent study done by satellite images noting Sunnis have fled Baghdad. Next, think of the refugees that have fled Iraq. The walls that have been raised. That we are partnered with murderous Iraqis that previously were killing our soldiers. On top of that, since there aren't many embedded reporters in Iraq, we don't even know if the military has drastically reduced patrols, which could be the reason why so many fewer American casualties.
