Their vote is mandatory (compulsory, I believe is what they call it in Oz?) so no doubt he will be voting, …but not on our bitter pill. Nope. Maybe big@l will tell a little bit about what mandatory vote is like? & how recently even the Betties have been afforded the vote in Oz. Not the aboriginals though, they are stuck with the trees and the herbs … & the milky white way, oh yay. Nah, that’s not true, women for a while now … & aboriginals attained suffrage when…1962 or ‘67 or the like? Heh, just funnin’ ya, @l. ~ I think a mandatory vote would allow for an eventual break-up of our present two-party purgatory. Everyone MUST vote might be a promoter (after a few years of just fudging ballots out of spite) of people voting their conscience and not just going along to get along by picking the lesser of two boll weevils. I don’t know though: they have us getting fined & taxed & penalized and padding the revenue coffers every which way but loose now, …one more rule could break the public purse … and then what? Public housing behind triple razor wire fence and twelve-on-twelve-off manual labor for bread and pea soup for the lower 97% … & middle-management for the 98th percentile? While 99 & 100 watch themselves on tee-vee and make up new awards and medals for only the most classy & stylish jet-set hierarchal topper-most @ the cusp of the colony? Oh, brother. Ommmm, …aaaaamen.
Oh oh say can you see … by the dawns early light …
