Well, I think you are right, Gene, anything is possible here. I would say the Bush administration would have liked to see Israel call in an airstrike. They sold them bunker busters to do it. I'd say that was more than a nudge in that direction.

I think it's still possible to negotiate with Iran but obviously there are factions here that want to set up the situation so that it's basically a lit stick of dynamite and all everybody is doing is tossing it back and forth until it goes off. I think this is unwise but who am I?

It's funny that the Republicans are running almost the same campaign against Obama as they ran against Kerry...with some obvious other fun stuff thrown in because of the color of Obama's skin and his name. Basically though, it's the same nonsense. I can't believe there are people in this country that will buy this bullshit yet again...but what do I know?
