Creating and supporting an articial set of market conditions for decade upon decade, leading to the creation of Fred & Fan, has put us in a place where simply dropping all our meddling & bad ideas overnight would be disastrous. There needs to be a phase-out though, over time. The way I see it, either there will be a gracious end to our screwed-up economy (government taking itself out of it more & more), or there will be an ingracious end to it, when we can no longer lie to ourselves & simply print up whatever amount of cash we need to save us from the problems we caused ourselves previously by printing up too much cash.
