Marc, you're still thinking in terms of A vs. B.

The Republican candidates spew rhetoric that smells like bullshit to me.

So do the Democratic ones.

Why, oh why, must we put up with this stupid charade that has us arguing over whose bullshit presents the better bouquet?

I will admit that there is at least a hint of sweetness, like the sweetness of recently-digested brome hay, in what the Democrats have to say.

I'll also admit that a part of me rallies to the whinny-ing call to "fight with me" presented on the other side.

But at the base of it, it's bullshit. On both "sides." And in fact, both "sides" are easily seen as the same "side."

We need leadership that doesn't engage in stupid theatrical debates and dumbass "portraiture" politics. What a person looks like is never a solid predictor of what that person believes.

We also need a citizenry that is capable of running the bullshit meter. All this nonsense about voting for "the lesser of two evils" . . . is nonsense.
