http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=60251835I first got into Garland around 1977 when he released "Ghost Writer". It contained the incendiary "Wild In The Streets"; as tough an urban tune as this suburban teen could then imagine. Garland has had an up and mostly down career, finding more popularity in Europe. I remember in the pre-Internet days, locating his number in a NYC phone book, and calling him for updates. He was always gracious, even when I think I woke him up. If you've never heard him, lend an ear to "Hail, Hail Rock and Roll", and "Wild In The Streets". He's truly an extraordinary singer-songwriter who deserves to be heard. Oh, and he shared a spot on the A & M roster with an artist we all know and love. Peter T.
