I downloaded Bon Iver's "For Emma, Long Ago" this morning and listened to it all afternoon at the office. The real thing, haunting and evocative, even sans "haitch."

My other favorite music of the moment, Ra Ra Riot's "The Rhumb Line," an album worth a few listens to become enmeshed. Just spent last Sunday afternoon with the band - they are so young and so talented and so sweet. However, it's no fun to hear the lovely, tight-jeaned bass player say to my son, "Oh, I want to go say goodbye to your mother."

Sigh.
