Out in the garage tonight, my girl kickin’it chill back on an adequate red Craftsman yard

tractor & me with my butt resting on a worn old Corvette, calico cat pressed up against

my lower back reclines on tan cotton canvas car cover with a way in and a way outside.

Local rock & roll radio station on a beat up old black boom box hanging on a pegboard

over the workbench.  One good song after another as we sort stuff like bolts and screws

and notions both here an now and those moldy ones and some new one: alabaster mood.
