As did the Bush twins, and even (to some extent) Chelsea Clinton. Kids of politicians are little bit like preacher's kids. The face of public morality makes rebellion all the more attractive. It may be an indication of their parenting . . . or it may not. For better or worse, the drug issue has been a part of a significant number of families since bad part of the 1960's (you know: equal rights/elimination of prejudice = good; drugs/free love = bad or at least stupid). And it seems easier to me to criticize some of Sarah Palin's religious views than it is to shudder at the idea of her husband in the VP's residence. What's wrong with him?
