Politicians from both parties incessantly invoke the need to "fight" all sorts of things. As an alternative,I'd dearly love to see some brave soul simply speak of soberly evaluating a problem, while moving in a methodical, consensus-building manner to fix it. I know it won't fit on a bumper sticker, and it lacks the macho factor that so many Americans seem to require, but I think it is what we need to tackle the many challenges that we face. I fear this approach isn't in the offing. Peter T.
