No, not really. Initially they thought that maybe a small plane had crashed and, um... 'parts' were washing up on the beach. The feet have, I think, all been in running shoes which are buoyant enough to allow the feet to travel with the tides and winds. One scientist posited how right feet and left feet would go different directions given the curve of their respective footwear....

It's all very creepy and Hannibal Lecterish. The Pacific NW climate seems to breed serial killers the way Texas breeds nimrods.
