I would lOVE to see Plant, whether solo or on the current tour.Regarding Tom Petty, I have just finished watching the 4 hour documentary "Runnin' Down A Dream".... Very interesting to watch, (the early footage for a start is incredible) but I was also impressed by how much he has done in 30 years and all the great songs he has written. I can't think of many of his songs that have aged at all.
The Springsteen comparison seems really apt, from what I saw... The DVD set also includes the 30th anniversary concert he held in Gainesville (the Heartbreakers hometown) in (I think) the end of 2006.Brilliant stuff!
