Actually I've experienced Leslie Feist doing a similar thing (sampling herself, guitar and audience live) - When it works its very powerful, but the timing (and tone for that matter) has to be really precise ;-) This is a bad example but the only one I could find with her doing this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxxBBgoo-hc
