He's not my cat although, he is kind of "the neighborhoods" cat. Rex is his name. My neighbor officially claims him, he's a great cat but I don't know what kind he is. My neighbor is an animal rescue type person, ferrets mostly. She's constantly calling me with a new homeless kitten, looking for me to take it in.

Rex used to belong to some other folk up on the hill but we were not happy with how they left Rex to his own devices when the temps dropped too low for critters to be left to their own devices, so my neighbor called them up and told them that Rex was now her cat, they didn't put up a fight.
