My thoughts: The Dems, if they truly wish to ascend to the White House are foolish in pulling for Obama over Hillary. Even though she has outperformed him in all of the "key" states which pull in huge electoral dividends at the national level, they seem bent on endorsing him, and he is nearly/but not quite there anyways, especially with all of the media hype his way as well. And..if Obama gets nominated, he has only Hillary as a viable running mate, though pretty boy Edwards seems to be chafing at his bit. Down boy, Down... Otherwise, McCain will beat him in a national election, especially if McCain and Huckabee (god forbid) run together. A goodly percentage of Hillary supporters(not me) will vote for McCain, and all the Southern and non-Southern bible thumpers will also if Huckabee is on the ballot. I know a lot of folks here hate Hillary, but she could outdo a McCain/Huckabee ticket, I don't think Obama (at least if he picks another running mate, will prevail). After much soul searching, I cannot hold my nose. I will vote for whomever is the Dem nominee, but I surely hope they know what they're doing, and I don't think they are backing a candidate who can get to Pennsylvania avenue. Did I say the exact opposite months ago....hell, yeah, but now I'm not sure, and this latest burping from Huckabee has me very nervous. I was wishing he'd just go away and go on an extended fishing trip with his family, but his little eyes are opening wider with each passing minute. Are we seeing the Dems self-destruct once again? I hope not. Hold me.

And this, my friends is very telling : http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080520/ap_on_el_pr/primary_rdp

I'm not particularly proud of one undeniable statistical fact: She wins White America, and would win the Hispanic vote. He may win the battle, but he will lose the war. 4 more years of Republicans...??? The Democratic party is not using their thinking caps, that is, if they ever had any in the first place. As for Ted Kennedy...no need to despair. If his glioma is low grade he can get a couple of years of decent quality life (as long as 5 in some studies). But, his political life is adieu. He needs to spend every second with his family anyways. The only glioma to worry about is a thing called Glioblastoma Multiforme, which is usually fatal within one year. Based upon what they are describing in the news he doesn't have that tumor.
