probably great improv over mediocre writing there, yep. Funny filth-&-foul-near-family-friendly scene, Herring. …So was the polished metal disc ride down snowy hill scene from the same flick…the first time I nearly laughed myself to death in the theatre.
Speaking of sappy films just for entertainment and not about mourning lost hope with the knowledge of just how truly f#ck^d up the world is here in the hell-bound handbag…
Last night we were going over films we dig, & among several (listed here previously), one that caught my attention again, & so we spun it into th wee hours, is Almost Famous. Some of the looks on the face of Kate Hudson break my heart apart even after repeated viewings, kinda like how Jewel’s voice breaks down all defenses in the chorus of Foolish Games. You really have to be dead on the floor in a pool of frozen blood not to feel it even a little. The drug-addled but somehow still intelligent hope of that period, in some instances, …still gets to me coming & going. Am I a sap? You bet. But it’s still the truth.

The only true currency in this bankrupt world... is what you share with someone else when you're uncool.
