I owe a big think you to Peter for offering a boot leg version of this to me a few months back. But it appears that the Wilson family finally came to terms and Dennis Wilson's "Pacific Ocean Blue" is finally being reissued this week.

I grew up with the Beach Boys on my crappy assed stereo and to me anyway, Dennis was the best beach boy even in spite of the fact that his personal life was a train wreck. I think his brother Brian was the genious of the group (and I think Dennis would have agreed), but Dennis held a special spot for me because he exemplified the California dream...he had the look and he was the only actual surfer. A point not lost on me. plus Christie McVie thought he was hot for a time and I loved her band too. so I want this album.

I imagine that most dbisers already know that this one and only release from Dennis Wilson has a cult like following and is rare like a Baerwald AFM.

Anyway, it's finally coming out this week so do like me and snatch up a copy.
