I've never condoned Marc's post with that video. I, too, thought it was over the line. I chose to stay out of the fray. "Not my pig...not my farm" as they say. Besides, you had enough people yelling "foul". The message was loud and clear.

My post was an attempt to defend Marc's right to answer your original question of why we conservatives choose to "haunt" this board. He politely answered your question and he also told us what he was thinking when he posted that video. Now I understand why he did it. That still doesn't make it right, but I can see where he was coming from. He was trying to make a joke and unfortunately it turned out badly. Very bad. But conservatives have never been famous for their sense of humor. Humor obviously comes from some "creative gene" in our DNA, as does music, acting and art. We conservatives, for the most part, don't have that gene. It's not our fault. So when we make an attempt at humor, art or music we usually fail miserably. We do much better with hanging out at the Club (men only, of course) playing cards, smoking cigars and talking about the days market results. 

Oh, and we're much better at running a country too.    :^)
