Any loss of life in a car accident is a tragedy... We have one of the highest accident rates in the world, apparently.

But I have to admit it has always amazed me that Americans can legally drive a car at the age of 16. Here, it's 18, which still feels too young.

I am a new vehicle salesman by trade, and when I do a test drive with a sub-20 year old, I don't breathe out until the engine is switched off at the end... Youth, naivety, arrogance, whatever it is, they all have this "I'm invincible" air about them...
