As I recall, DB was at the event just after Boomtown came out and Springsteen came up to him and said, "Man, those songs are great. They just make me want to get into my car and drive." Then, a few minutes later, Springsteen approached DB (or Ricketts) and said the exact same thing; AGAIN. Something like that.
And yes, Reg was drunk. I remember DB trying to sing a song and Reg and his girlfriends were giggling and talking so loudly that DB had to stop playing. I have it all on tape.
