I know that its been said many times here but,

The course we're on has to stop. We cannot and will not ever STOP tribal feuds in Iraq no matter how long we're there. The was never planned by the administration and they have no answer now.

I went to my brothers Wisconsin National Guard event a couple of weekends ago and he will be deployed in Iraq at the beginning of next year. They are a mech infantry unit.  There was such a weird mixture of feelings going on at the same time there I almost felt sick. It was a feeling of non-stop pride for these guys, concern for them and their safety.  At the same time, I felt that the attitudes of some of the men and their adventurous gung ho approach and felt getting deployed was some way to get out of their small town to play soldier made me feel like they were blind men on a blind mission. At the end of the event, they played a photo montage of pictures from the last deployment along with a Toby Keith ballad and I wanted to puke.

I dont know where I was going with this, maybe just to vent.
