Yeah, Blockdog, The Big Easy (the movie) is where I first heard Beausoleil, then picked

up a couple of their albums back in the late 80s (I think?).  Dennis Quaid does a perty

nasty vocal of note on “You Used To Call Me”.  You know what, now I’m gona put the

soundtrack on my wish list ~~ gota.  Something about zydeco got all up under my skin

and stayed there…so we get back to it from time to time.  You can hear some killer

zydeco in the movie Scorchers too (as well as Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 – Adagietto). 

I don’t think there’s a CD, but it’s a splendid little comedy/drama

worth 90 minutes of your time (IMHO).
