I think the country is going to look at the upcoming McCain/Obama debates and see a stark contast. What did Buchanan say about McCain's promises? "Endless war and no jobs...? Something like that, anyway. McCain represents the kind of thinking that has gotten us into this staggering mess. Obama brings a different level and kind of energy to the conversation, and I honestly believe that given a chance, people will gravitate to it. They already have, when comparing him with Hillary. Whether anyone can get us out of this mess is an open question, but we know the rocky shoals that McCain intends to steer us toward. "Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran", McCain says with an asthmatic chuckle. Is that what you want for your children? Is that what anyone wants, outside the Rapture crowd?
