The sad thing about this is that I'm sure the response will be for the parties (and states) to tighten up their primary voting rules, mandating party affiliation for the primary. For the growing number of non-affiliated such as myself, this could become de-facto disenfranchisement.  
In Texas they did ask what party affilliation before entering the booth. The big issue for me was that if I went straight Demoncrat I had to could not vote for a local candidate running in our small town election, so with this in mind I did not claim to be a Demoncrat. Interesting article but I don't think they can go after Limbaugh.
