it needs to be acknowledged that some parents can live in poverty and still offer good enough parenting, which allows for their children's brain development to progress in a manner that the limits the impact of external circumstances. but most spend the money on alcohol and soft drugs to obliterate an existence defined by marginalisation and hopelessness which then gets passed on to the next generation...leading to adults with insecure avoidant and at worst disorganised attachment styles.
