I haven't followed Enron very closely but that doesn't mean I'm not interested.  Just shooting from the hip here but it wouldn't make any sense to me if Bush was trying to protect the Enron execs...would whatever campaign contributions he received ever equal the amount of lost support from disillusioned voters because he gave the execs a pass?  I doubt it.

Maybe the whole thing is a slam dunk legally for the feds to go after the Enron execs but maybe not.  Did they set themselves up in a way so they've insulated themselves from prosecution?  I don't know.

I'm not interested in seeing corporate execs get off when they've sold out their workers and I think I speak for most conservatives.  Lock them up and forget about them so a message is sent loud and clear.
