No amount of shame, discredit, or venality is enough to drive a stake through the shriveled hearts of
these vampires. They resign in disgrace- or are run out of town- and, after a year away of golf or
chopping brush on their boutique ranches, they're back, as if nothing happened. They're rehabilitated
and appointed to positions of power they neither deserve nor are elected to. Who am I talking about? Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz.
