It is so cool to read that you could be as much as a Brian Wilson acolyte as I am. The DVDs you refer to give some great insight into arguably popular music's most gifted individual. Mike Love is definitely an ass but I will concede that the magic of so many of Brian's compositions relied on 5 part harmony, and that meant that Mike had to be in the mix somewhere.

You refered to the 3 tracks you keep in constant rotation to keep yourself smiling. I listen to those also,may I suggest seeking out "When God Invented Girls" an Elton John track found on "Reg Strikes Back". Also "Motor of Love" a McCartney track from "Flowers In The Dirt" both pay homage to Brian in beautiful,delicate ways of their own.

"Rio Grande" was the only suite of music not massacred by Eugene Landy on Brian's 1988 self-titled release. Beside "Love and Mercy" it is the only real reason to seek out that particular CD.

My favorites include "God Only Knows", "Cabinessence", "Heroes and Villians", "Sail On Sailor" and of course Brians teenage symphony to God "Good Vibrations"
