just noodling off your lead, Reg, so don k’nock me in the bean if I’m way off the mark here…

Bhata!  Ah, the fine art of stickfighting.  One and two handed...bay-tings with bloody shillelaghs has been the center of social society for three families, two Irish and one Scott.

Background:  A cosmic interplanetary cipher forged onto a small titanium plate or key or microchip (or some such) from the center of the earth then up through a seismic oil stream & into the root and further into the xylem, then to the optimum branch of a blackthorn tree beside some sacred spring-fed lake of ancient *Cork, in a meadow where has been the stage of the bloodiest battles for freedom against tyranny & man’s inhumanity to man.  This branch, which was carved into ONE of the most perfect hurleys known to the earliest forefathers of the faction fighters of this fable by the mother of Domnall Brecc before the battle of Mag Rath.  Domnall Brecc was a warrior of Áedan’s army of Seventh Century Scot/Ireland, & Áedan’s grandson.  In the battle of Mag Rath (the battle that proved Columcille’s prophesy, which spoke of the band of brotherhood between the Irish and Scott clans that could not be broken, lest tyranny reign over all the people), Domnall Brecc broke the treaty between the Scott & Irish clans, going against his grandfathers wishes, by laying waste to a beloved ceremonial territory of the Irish.  On this battleground, the bhata, with the eternal cipher lodged in the center of it’s wood, was lost for a time, then later found by a farmer while digging an irrigation ditch for his fields, and used again in the battle of Degsastan.  This begat blah, blah, blah, and that begat blah blah blah, leading to the present time of this fable, wherein the battle is for land, family, and neighborhood pecking-rights; the ultimate winner is to be all humanity, but nobody actually knows this, they just live for the craic and the fight ~~ the ultimate goal:  To break your opponents bhata!  The original intention of the cipher is a message from a distant planet (mentioned in a previous unrelated post) sent to save humanity from tyranny and ultimate destruction (the one constant throughout all the universe).  The message, sent through a statistical wormhole by an ancient & highly-advance druid-like matriarchal civilization (the longest surviving civilization in the universe before ultimately falling to the destructive energies of tyranny), which sent out the message, as their final effort on behalf of HOPE for sustained peace & freedom.  …This message, held in the heart of this one blackthorn bhata, unbeknownst to the prominent stickfighters through times gone by who hefted it in their able grasp, & subsequently carried to America in the battling hands of a Doyle named Mick. For years these families have been stickfighting.  For too many generations, they have been fighting for what they considered good reasons:  freedom, land, power, the love and admiration of beautiful women, drink, drink, & more drink, a good fare-king headbashing, …and ribald fare-king sex & gayety!  Oh, the heady joy of bloody shillelaghs cracking wood & bone….

Whoops, I didn’t incorporate the museyroom, the notions of a western, really, …or porno.  …Bring it Reg, quid pro quo, ….  I’ve got a headache and lots on my plate today…so this posted without the beauty of edit or spellcheck, as a casual freestyle tit-for-tat to a concept.  Hey, I bet we can punch-out a credible story before the Davids can get an album in the can??  Even if I’m completely in left field here…and in need of a good dialing in.  I mean hey, Reg, you came in with one hellova twisted title.  BUT I like it.  (Hmmm, should I send this in a PM or on the board?  I dunno………)  man, my head is pounding, …fackin’ red wine………………

*NO, not Cork, that wouldn’t be geographically ideal…whoops, more like Belfast or in Scottland somewhere; wherever the present day locations of those ancient battles took place.
