Huckabee is not going to be the Republican candidate but if he were that would surprise the hell out of me. It would surprise me because they don't want Huckabee and when I say "they" I mean the neo-con cabal. Romney is "their" guy and take note that today he came out embracing Bushco and their foreign policy...to me a massive blunder as it's been pretty clear that the idea has been to distance yourself from Dubya if you are a Republican presidential candidate but Romney must have seen it as a way to swim against the rest of the school and send a clear message to the neo-con dipshits that he's totally onboard. Anyway, if you read between the lines this has been Romney's race to lose for a long time and I don't just mean among the Republicans...I mean the whole deal, the fucking guy is marked as President of the United States. The Democrats are going right along giving us Hillary and Obama...Romney will wipe up the stage with them and make them look like pathetic amateurs. I'm serious, if the American public ends up choosing between Romney and Clinton or Obama on the Democratic side...Romney is going to look like (and end up) president. He will be the clean up hitter for the neo-con team and raise the bar to new levels that Cheney and his pals could only have wet dreams about. The deck is stacked and they are doing what they can to harm Edwards and holding their breath that Gore stays home counting his carbon futures. I'm sick about it to tell you the truth because Edwards needs to pull the upset in Iowa to get the ball rolling...sadly it looks like the voters in New Hampshire are leaning toward Obama. So the way I'd read things is it does not mean a damn who wins in Iowa for the Republicans, Romney will end up the Republican candidate (he may lose Iowa to Huckabee and New Hampshire to McCain because McCain is really surging there) but if Obama wins Iowa and New Hampshire (which is very likely) then you can plan on President Mitt and that means we are truly fucked...
