Not sure about all the technical information, though I do remember, the tasing is done with way less power than that of a portal defibrillator. Also, from what we were told, it's really not as much electricity as people think (unfortunately, so many people don't realize the issue of the human body and how other factors come into play when using these things).

Yes, sadly with all tools. abuse by the cruel and undeserving can occur, however, like I earlier stated, I would rather receive another tase than a whack to the head or a squirt of pepper spray to the eyes (that shit hurts).

And yes, my encounter was well regulated, so I can't imagine how fools out there that have to be tased keep jacking around enough to get a second dose.

And don't take this for any defense of those that abuse this tool, because those that do abuse it or misuse it, should be dealt with harshly and quickly.
