[FWIW]

My son watched both of the most recent debates (Dem & Repub) in Government today.  His take was that Giuliani is funny in a showy and arrogant sort of way & the rest of the Repubs read their cue cards like bad actors.  His words.  In the Dem debate, Gravel  (who claimed that those [who died in Nam and those] dying in Iraq have died in the vain of corporate military means and should not be there, but home protecting our shores while being supported via excellent pay and benefits); Biden (with his own odd-man-out set of ideas & his comment that a democracy is impossible in Iraq but a confederation might be practical, & ground troops more than funds would be helpful to the African refugees);  & Edwards (who seemed genuinely earnest and knowledgeable, like a Michael J. Fox kinda guy, with a nice looking wife who would make an easy First Lady to look at) were the most appealing Presidential candidates to him.  But all in all the debates sucked.  This, in short, is the thinking of a 16 yr old who paid attention in class today.  If we had more time to speak before he and his bro leave for their basketball game, no doubt he’d tell me more...
