yes, it’s getting outa hand, it’s becoming an “SS” band on the arm sort of America of late, …but methinks this cat might have signed the citation, took a few pictures of the road signs applicable and fought the thing in traffic court where I’ve learned more recently than I’d prefer that the judges therein can be very fair-minded people who listen as well as they deliberate. No doubt the police are facing greater and greater threats to their safety in this world gone awry with angst and what-the-fuck, hence the hair-triggers with the lesser of several evils, but something is amiss here on the whole. Who here can say they have not witnessed a poor use of power by an authority figure in the 21st Century? In this instance, I believe the driver should have taken his family into account and, after explaining his grievances to the office (if he absolutely must), signed the cheque and planed his defense for a later date. Man, these days, if I get pulled over for speeding, I roll down my window, put my hands on the wheel and wait for instructions…PERIOD, end of story. Most cops I’ve found are chill. Chill and aware and cordial and aware and professional…and aware…. But, yeah…there’s been some gnarly bullying going down of late. No arguing that fact.
