1. The post may be Rated "R", but he's clearly got issues with pronouncing the letter "R."
2. His global warming take in the middle of winter was funny.
3. Mexican Truck Drivers
What, does he think they have no federal standards either? The whole point is to avoid the very wasteful practice of off-loading trucks at the border and re-loading to a national carrier. That process holds up shipments for days, adds cost, creates opportunities for corruption, and generally doesn't make sense. Working toward equilibrating driver and mechanical standards does. Unmentioned in his diatribe is the fact that the US is also a major exporter to Mexico, especially of grain, corn, electronics, and more. If the Mexican drivers aren't having to unload before coming here, it is implicit that some of the Teamsters won't have to unload there. Of course, to drive down into Mexico would require some flexibility and a little bit of Spanish . . . both things he seems incapable of having.
4. Looks like his job has kept him well-fed. More evidence that the unions have taken too big a share for the value of work they provide. With federal law now offering worker protections commensurate with most of what the unions were originally formed to combat, just what is their place in today's world?
