What is it with American politicians and their fear of Mary Jane?

During the big Dem debate, near the end, the scary topic of the "decriminalization" of marijuana came up. I think three or four Dems threw their hands up so fast it was like they had one of Shrub's turds in their hand when asked if they were against it. This topic really pisses me off. After watching two very close family members die from cancer and knowing they received solace from this scary drug, it really makes my blood boil when these politicians treat this topic with such disdain and knee jerk reactions. I don't give a shit if a sick person gets relief from hitting their thumb with a hammer or smoking a goddamned joint. As long as the person gets relief from this rotten disease, who gives a shit what he or she does, so long as it doesn't hurt anyone else?And what really, really torques me the most is most of these people in power that are against marijuana for medicinal purposes are the same assholes that have unlimited access to pain medication and relief measures. When is the last time we've seen some millionaire or some politician put a gun in their mouth to stop the pain?End of rant.
