I agree with your assessment on the Justin Currie disc. (Haven't heard the Kraus/Plant one yet.)

With Currie (Del Amitri, Uncle Devil Show), every offering has taken time for me to "get it" and really begin to enjoy it. I still think this new disc has the grit, but it is definitely not a rocker, and I would like to hear Currie rockin' once again.
