Sadly, there is a truckload of it. The Canadian government opened their own Commission of Inquiry into the matter:http://www.ararcommission.ca/eng/AR_English.pdfhttp://www.ararcommission.ca/Our own government is digging through it now and as well as documentation they have testimony and not just from Arar but from our own people as well. It's ugly, Pat, and just one more massive stain on the Bush Administration showing not just the American people but the world they are no better than Saddam. It's disgusting and shameful and it shows no matter who you are you can be yanked out of a line at an airport cuffed and shackled, thrown on a plane and flown somewhere to be tortured. Even if there is no evidence against you. How does this make the Bush Administration any better than Saddam? This guy was lucky because his wife had connections with the media and was savvy enough to get help. It still took a year to get him back and what his family got back was not the man they lost. Think of how many innocent people they have done this to that did not have somebody working every minute to help free them. The cells were overflowing and there was barely room to open the doors to let people in or out and they were all sent there by the Americans to be "questioned."The only fair thing to do would be to put Bush and all his pals on trial and sadly that will never happen. Tell me, Pat, how is the "liberal media" handling this story?
