Well, thanks for posting that. Pretty depressing, but Roth is, I think, dead on: people are exhausted from the past seven years of this Administration. There is no viable opposition and no viable candidate to lead us out of the wilderness we have allowed to grow up around us. I think Roth is correct in stating that the military-industrial complex and the corporate- controlled press have manufactured a strangle hold which elevates the trivial and quashes free speech and resistance. A very different time than the Vietnam era when people (and their elected representatives) actually played a role in ending a war and a thoroughly corrupt Presidency.

All things must pass. I guess that includes America's brief fling with representative democracy.
