Think about how bad we've had it as Justice in the past 15 years:

Janet Reno - perhaps well-intentioned but utterly and completely incompetent

Alberto Gonzales - reckless disregard for the Constitution

John Ashcroft - amazingly, he looks like the best of the three but he had his own slipperly slope in interpreting the Constitution as well as a real concern in separation of Church and State
