GM,All I am stating is more information is needed. For one, the reports don't even state if the doctors questioning this are forensic pathologists or just medical doctors (though I am assuming they are forensic pathologists).Believe me, I have been present when many medical doctors have made many erroneous conclusions about things like gunshots, stabbings and other injuries. The next thing is without some other form of firearm evidence, i.e. gunshot residue of some form, you can't tell distance of a shot from just the grouping. Remember, these Rangers are among the best trained in the army. And a tight shot group with a scoped rifle can be done. Imagine if Tillman was hugging the ground, not moving around a lot and some other soldier had a high tech scope. There is just too much information being left out right now and jumping to conclusions does no one any good. As much as I dislike the Bushies, the suggestions going around the internet they had him killed are quite ludicrous. My own initial thought is this was a huge, incompetent bout of "friendly fire" and those involved knew what they had on their hands (the negligent killing of an American hero) and decided to try and contain it in the most rotten of ways rather than just telling the truth.
