My system crashed in between major backups.

Suffice it say I have grandToddler footage, new advertising files, and other irreplaceable bytes I'd like to recover as much as possible of.

I'm using 10.3.9

I have TechTool Pro 4. Which was designed for 10.2 or perhaps before.

Problem is when I attempted Data Recovery, TechTool can't find a volume.

After doing a partial surface scan(I was up to about 2 million blocks(out of bettern a 100 mil) scans with a little over 3k dead blocks when I gave up after 36 hours:), I called SmallDog(local Apple outlet) but their experts don't know anything on the software end and we need to wait till their techs arrive tomorrow, yadi yadi yadda.

Does anyone have any knowledgeable suggestions. I might be able to recreate the advertising and DL some of the other stuff again(loads are backed up on an external) but those recent photos, well, the Toddler won't be 16-18 months again.

All suggestions welcome.
