I remember when my daughter and her best friend told me they just finished DARE and wanted to do the song they learned. I stopped them and told them before they started that they needed to know that DARE does not work and in fact makes kids more likely to abuse drugs. My kid says "I know that... we just want to sing the song!" The community DARE officer had a very flamboyantly painted police car. It looked hilarious when a tree fell on it during a storm.
